The International Forensic Entomology Detection
Canine Association is a member driven-driven organization dedicated to
supporting the efforts of the canine detection industry. IFEDCA promotes quality
and fair business practices within the industry and believes in one simple
truth: “If it’s good for the consumer, it’s good for the industry.” IFEDCA
maintains the highest possible standard of business ethics and continues to take
a long-term view at what is best for the continued success of this vital
industry.

U.S. local, state and federal governments, as well as, international governments
and competitors are subject to influence by the unity and size of the IFEDCA

Executive Networking
IFEDCA members are a part of an impressive and growing group of canine detection
executives. It is recognized, while the IFEDCA members have interests in common,
they are in many cases direct business competitors. IFEDCA holds local and
national events and conferences to help our members meet peers, competitors, and
potential customers and suppliers. Participation in these meetings offer new
business contacts, the sharing of ideas, and industry support which you need to
build your business.
Publications & Industry Information
Staying on top of the current events and issues with IFEDCA’s publications and
action alerts is of paramount importance to understanding the rapidly changing
canine detection industry. Members shall receive our on-line newsletter and the
annual IFEDCA Membership Directory which lists all member companies and their
products.
Business Support Services
IFEDCA offers a broad range of quality services to meet the needs of both small
and large member companies. The needs of the membership are IFEDCA’s first
priority. Services are recommended by member companies to the IFEDCA staff for
review and feasibility.
IFEDCA is committed to achieving the following
goals on behalf of our members and urge each member to hold us accountable for

GOAL #1: IFEDCA will
be the most effective public policy advocate for the forensic entomology
detection canine industry.

Regulatory Excellence: IFEDCA will
lead industry advocacy on key regulatory issues deemed necessary for the
survival of the industry and consistently monitor the impact of regulatory
issues as the premier voice for the industry.

Operational Excellence: IFEDCA will
lead industry advocacy on key workforce issues related to operational
excellence and consistently monitor the impact of regulatory issues as the
premier voice for the industry.

State Affairs: As more and more
legislative and regulatory functions shift from the federal to the state
level, we will represent the industry within key state capitols and will
coordinate and leverage strategy across state boundaries.
GOAL #2: IFEDCA will
be the voice of the forensic entomology detection canine industry by mobilizing
the most extensive and effective grassroots network.
Direct Member Involvement: Each year
IFEDCA will build our policy agenda based upon the direct participation and
feedback from our members. We will focus on those issues that have a direct
bottom-line benefit to our membership. We will utilize the collective power of
the membership to ensure leverage.
Public Policy Leadership: IFEDCA will
alert members about key events which occur in the states, Washington D.C. and
internationally so that they can get involved, understand the business
implications of these events, and directly affect the outcome.
Grassroots Leadership: The ability of any
industry to influence policy is directly linked to its ability to mobilize
constituents back in key congressional districts. IFEDCA has a unique
broad-based geographical membership that will mobilize and refine the voice of
the industry.
GOAL #3: IFEDCA will provide members with important
and timely information to enhance their ability to make sound and qualified
business and management decisions.
Business Intelligence: IFEDCA will provide
clear and timely information to our members on business practices, industry
statistics, and market trends that affect the industry.
Policy Information: IFEDCA will be the
first to translate state, national, and international public policy changes into
terms that are understandable and directly applicable to the operation of our
member companies.
Operational Excellence: IFEDCA will
provide executive education, training, and services to help our members operate
at world-class levels of quality and workforce performance.
GOAL #4: IFEDCA will provide business services and
other cost-saving programs targeted to the enhancement of membership value.
