The IFEDCA is the premier association for bed bug dog trainers, facilities and teams.  IFEDCA is operated by a MASTER TRAINER and is committed to being a leader in the preservation of the integrity of trained canines, teams and facilities.  IFEDCA is a professional organization of individual dog trainers, facilities and teams, who are committed to becoming better at what they do through education.

The IFEDCA offers individual members a respected and concerted voice in the canine detection world.

About the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors:

Bill Whitstine (CMT) owns and operates the Florida Canine Academy, which trains bomb, drug, money, weapons, termite, mold and accelerant detection canine teams. Five years ago, Bill identified the growing problem of mold in homes and businesses and worked with researchers to further investigate the possibility that dogs could be trained to detect molds. Recently, Bill founded Mold Dog, a subsidiary of the Florida Canine Academy, to train, certify and sell mold-detecting dogs.

Bill has been a leader in the field of canine training since 1989 when he was the first person to attend the Maine State Police Canine Academy in Accelerant Detection. Bill is the author of the only published book on accelerant detection canines and was the founding president of the Canine Accelerant Detection Association as well as the International Termite Detector Dog Association, which are both international organizations. Bill has been featured on over nine shows, including several segments on the Animal Planet and The Discovery Channel.

The International Forensic Entomology Detection Canine Association is a member driven-driven organization dedicated to supporting the efforts of the canine detection industry. IFEDCA promotes quality and fair business practices within the industry and believes in one simple truth: “If it’s good for the consumer, it’s good for the industry.” IFEDCA maintains the highest possible standard of business ethics and continues to take a long-term view at what is best for the continued success of this vital industry.

U.S. local, state and federal governments, as well as, international governments and competitors are subject to influence by the unity and size of the IFEDCA membership. IFEDCA is the voice of the forensic entomology detection canine industry, whose solidarity is committed to the issues that affect you.

Staying on top of the current events and issues with IFEDCA’s publications and action alerts is of paramount importance to understanding the rapidly changing canine detection industry. Members shall receive our on-line newsletter and the annual IFEDCA Membership Directory which lists all member companies and their products.

IFEDCA offers a broad range of quality services to meet the needs of both small and large member companies. The needs of the membership are IFEDCA’s first priority. Services are recommended by member companies to the IFEDCA staff for review and feasibility.
